NFL suspends and fines Andrew Bynum for "classless hit"
Roger Goodell spent of lot of time last season cracking down on hits to the head and neck of defenseless receivers and after watching the hit Andrew Bynum delivered to Barea, Goodell knew he had to step in. “I felt compelled to do something,” he said in a press conference following the game. These are the types of hits that we have been trying to crack down on, they have no place on a football field. After reviewing the hit thoroughly, the front office of the NFL has decided to fine Bynum 50,000 dollars and the first 4 games of the NFL season without pay. It doesn’t matter whether you are down 3 touchdowns or 15 baskets a hit like that is inexcusable. When told about the fine and suspension Andrew Bynum was defiant as ever, claiming that he didn’t care how long the suspension was for as he didn’t play in the NFL and had no intention of paying the fine. When asked if that meant he was announcing his retirement at age 23, he said “Are you serious, I don’t play in the NFL!” When told of his response, Goodell said that if Bynum didn’t want to play in the NFL that was his choice, but he would hate to see such a young player throw the rest of his career away.

With so many obstacles that have stood in the way of Pacquiao vs. Mayweather we are finally down to one. Mayweather has insisted that before he fights Pacquiao, Pacquaio must lose to an opponent they have in common. I beat Marquez, Hatton, Mosley, and De la Hoya, said Mayweather, if he had just lost to one of those guys I would have agreed to fight him a long time ago. Mayweather also said that if Pacquaio was to lose to an opponent they have in common he wouldn’t fight him because “it would automatically mean I am better than him, so what is the point”?
